Introduction

For farmers and young people looking to earn a better income, poultry farming is becoming a profitable business. It is noteworthy that you can start this business with low capital and less land. One such young man from Shripur village in Madhepura district, Dheeraj Kumar, used to work in a private job earning only 10-15 thousand rupees per month. However, after getting the idea of poultry farming from YouTube, he started his own farm with 2000 chickens and now earns more than 1 lakh rupees per month.

Starting Small

Dheeraj Kumar, originally from Bihar, used to work as a delivery boy for Flipkart, earning around 10-12 thousand rupees per month. After getting the idea of poultry farming from YouTube, he visited a nearby farm and started with 2000 chickens. With the help of ABIS company, he now has a farm with 9000 chickens and receives support in terms of feed and medicine for the chickens. The company also buys the chickens after 30-35 days, giving Dheeraj a profit of up to 20 rupees per chicken.

Company Support

ABIS company initially provides fewer chicks to start with, but as the business progresses, the number of chicks increases. Dheeraj Kumar believes that earning less in a private job is not as good as having your own small business. Despite facing initial difficulties, the income from poultry farming eventually surpasses that of a regular job, making it a lucrative venture for him.
