Allegations against Principal Alok Kumar Yadav
The Block Education Officer, Sanjay Kumar, has filed an FIR against Alok Kumar Yadav, the Principal of the Government Primary School located in Sikta Block, Bettiah. The complaint is regarding the forged signature of Assistant Teacher Anjali Raj in the teacher attendance register.
Investigation and Findings
There were continuous complaints about the absence of Assistant Teacher Anjali Raj from the Tola of Bhuvan Mahato in the school. An unannounced inspection of the school was conducted on May 2024, where Anjali Raj was found absent. An application for sudden leave was submitted, but it was found that someone else had written the application.
Further Examination and Consequences
Upon scrutiny of the teacher attendance register, a disparity in the recorded signatures was discovered. It was revealed that a photo of a cleaning staff member was placed in place of the teacher. Subsequently, another inspection was carried out on July 11, where Anjali Raj and another teacher were absent from the school premises despite having their attendance marked.
Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation
The matter has been escalated to the District Program Officer for further investigation. An FIR has been lodged against Principal Alok Kumar Yadav based on the allegations made by the Block Education Officer. The police are currently investigating the case to uncover the truth behind the accusations.
