Property Dealer Shot Dead in Bihar

A property dealer named Pintu Kumar was shot dead in Bagicha village in Mufassil Thana of Bhojpur district in Bihar. The accused Santosh Yadav has been arrested by the police and sent to judicial custody. The victim’s father, a resident of Ghodpokhar in Udwantnagar, has filed a complaint with the police.

Accusations of Money Extortion

The police arrested Santosh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Daliya in Udwantnagar, shortly after the incident, and were interrogating him. The search for Niraj Chaudhary, a resident of Keshavpur-Bakri village in the Udwantnagar police station area, and his nephew is ongoing. The arrested accused is said to be a partner of the property dealer.

Alleged Murder over Land Agreement

It is alleged that an advance of 18 lakh rupees for a land agreement led to the murder being committed with the intention of extortion. On the evening of May 20, Santosh Kumar Yadav from Diliya village took Pintu Kumar from Ghodpokhar to Bagicha for food and drinks. A dispute arose over the land registry, leading to the fatal shooting.

Investigation and Legal Proceedings

The victim’s father mentioned that there was an agreement for 12 katthas of land, which resulted in the fatal shooting during the dispute over the registration. The police are continuing their investigation into the case, with legal proceedings underway against the accused Santosh Yadav.
