Purnea Airport is seeing exciting changes just 18 days after its inauguration. Indigo Airlines has announced that it will start direct flights from Purnea to Delhi beginning on October 26. The airport manager, DK Gupta, has confirmed this good news for travelers.

Booking for this new flight service started on Friday. The ticket price for a journey from Purnea to Delhi is set at Rs 6,300, while the return fare from Delhi to Purnea will be around Rs 5,000. The flights will operate daily, with the Delhi flight departing at 10:45 AM and arriving in Purnea at 12:50 PM. The return flight from Purnea will leave at 1:50 PM and reach Delhi at 3:55 PM.

The demand for flights to Delhi has been strong ever since the airport opened. Many people, including politicians and common citizens, had reached out to request this service. Previously, the flights were delayed due to permissions from Delhi Airport, but now IndiGo has taken the initiative to start this much-awaited route.

Currently, there are also daily flights from Purnea to Kolkata by Indigo and Star Air. Additionally, Star Air is increasing its service to Ahmedabad, making it available daily from October 15. Most flights from Purnea are nearly fully booked, especially around festivals, indicating a high demand from passengers.

This new Delhi flight will greatly benefit travelers from the Seemanchal region and nearby areas, including those from Nepal. It will save time and cut down travel costs, making it a significant addition to local air travel options.
