**Major Train Accident in Samastipur**
A Down FCI goods train carrying grains from Muzaffarpur to Katihar was derailed at Bhagwanpur Desua station in the morning. Due to a crossing, the train was being shifted to the side line. However, due to a yellow signal light at the nearby Gumti station, the train was mistakenly allowed to move forward, causing it to derail by breaking the dead stop of the side line.
**Relief Team Arrives**
Railway officials mentioned that it may take 5 to 6 hours to bring the train back on the tracks. Over 100 members of the Railway Accident Relief Team are working on this task. The bogies attached to the engine have been detached and moved back, and efforts are being made to bring the engine back on the tracks.
**Damage to Railway Tracks**
As a result of the accident, the railway tracks at Gumti have also been damaged. The manual gate is being closed and opened to allow trains to pass through. In the interest of safety, the RPF has been deployed at the site. RPF Inspector VP Verma was present with his team to assist in the operation.
**Statement by the DRM**
District Magistrate Vinay Srivastava stated that the rail service has not been affected due to the accident. Railway workers are engaged in rescue and relief work. An investigation has been ordered into the entire incident, and action will be taken against other responsible officials and staff after the investigation.
