One of the major beneficiaries of this project will be the Chausa Thermal Power Plant. Transporting coal from Dhanbad in Jharkhand to the plant is quite costly and takes a lot of time. Once the new line is operational, this process will become much faster and cheaper, leading to better power generation and increased revenue for the Railways.

Currently, only a handful of trains run on this line, but once the doubling is done, there will be many more trains and they will be faster too.
