Special train services have been initiated by the railway between Malda Town and Anand Vihar to manage the increasing crowd of passengers in Sahibganj. The objective is to provide convenience to passengers who are unable to secure tickets in regular trains due to long waiting lists. The special train 03435 Malda Town-Anand Vihar Terminal Special will depart from Malda Town at 09:30 AM and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 2:10 PM on 18th and 25th December. The next day, train 03436 Anand Vihar Terminal-Malda Town Special will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 6:00 PM and reach Malda Town at 11:30 PM on 19th and 26th December. The train will make stops at New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Pirpainti, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, SultanGanj, Jamalpur, and Abhayapur stations in both directions. The special train will have 4384 berth capacity and will include general second-class, sleeper class, and AC coaches. Tickets can be booked through PRS and the internet. Additional special charges will be collected apart from regular mail/express charges. Concessional bookings will not be available, and Tatkal quota will not be applicable.
Coal-loaded bogies of a coal goods train derailed on the Lalmatia-Farakka MGR line near Telo Bathan Tola under Beparitariyori police station area. However, there is no information about any casualties in the incident. Officials of NTPC have stated that the bogies were carrying coal from Lalmatia to Farakka. In the process, anti-social elements damaged the tracks, resulting in the derailment of the train. This has caused significant financial loss. It has been mentioned that a similar incident occurred in September 2021. Thana in-charge Nirajan Kachhap has informed that an investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken. Sahibganj police are struggling with a shortage of police personnel.
साहिबगंज के पुलिस का महकमा भारी कमी से जूझ रहा है। रेलवे ने साहिबगंज में बढ़ती भीड़ को समायोजित करने के लिए मालदा टाउन और आनंद विहार के बीच विशेष ट्रेन सेवा शुरू की है। इससे यात्रियों को सुविधा मिलेगी और उन्हें नियमित ट्रेनों में टिकट सुरक्षित करने में मदद मिलेगी। इस विशेष ट्रेन के चलने से 4384 बर्थ जेनरेट होंगी और ट्रेन में सामान्य द्वितीय श्रेणी, शयनयान श्रेणी और वातानुकूलित कोच मौजूद होंगे। टिकटों की बुकिंग पीआरएस और इंटरनेट के माध्यम से होगी। लेकिन इसमें सामान्य मेल/एक्सप्रेस के अतिरिक्त विशेष शुल्क वसूला जायेगा और रियायती बुकिंग नहीं होगी।
