Relief from Heat with Rain
In Bihar, as the monsoon enters the state, some parts of the district have experienced relief from the heat. Heavy rainfall was recorded in several districts including Kishanganj over the past 24 hours. The weather cleared up on Wednesday. The weather department has reported the presence of rain in some parts of the state like Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, Khagaria, Darbhanga, and Madhubani.
Temperature in Different Districts
In the past 24 hours, several districts in Bihar recorded temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperatures were recorded in districts like Patna, Gaya, Chapra, Dehri, Sheikhpura, Gopalganj, Jamui, Buxar, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Aurangabad, Nawada, Rajgir, Jiradei, Arwal, Bikramganj, Banka, and Munger.
Rainfall in Araria and Supaul
In the last 24 hours, extremely heavy rainfall was recorded in one or two places in Kishanganj district, while light to moderate rainfall was recorded in Araria and Supaul. The rest of Bihar remained dry. Kishanganj received 256.2 mm of rainfall, while Gopalganj, Gaya, Chapra, Dehri, Sheikhpura, Buxar, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Arwal, Vikramganj, Siwan, and Vaishali experienced heatwaves.
Weather Forecast
According to the weather analysis, the monsoon’s northern boundary is expected to advance in some parts of Bihar over the next three to four days. The next 48 hours may bring severe heatwaves in the southern parts of the state, followed by heatwaves in the southern central parts, and then a mix of hot and humid days.
