Jamui district in Bihar is witnessing excitement and enthusiasm over the consecration of the idols of Lord Ram and Radha Krishna in the historic Kali Temple in Malaypur. The idol installation ceremony of the precious stone idol in Jaipur has already begun and will be completed on January 22. As the city of Lord Ram, Ayodhya, prepares for the arrival of Lord Ram, the atmosphere in Malaypur has become filled with devotion and faith.
A procession was organized for the consecration ceremony, and scholars and Vedic pundits from different places have arrived to recite Vedic mantras. In the grand and attractive premises of the historic Kali Temple, idols of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Hanuman, and Radha Krishna have been installed. A special resting room has also been built for these deities. The Kali Temple in Malaypur, located near Jamui railway station, is not only a center of faith and attraction for the people of the district, but also for people from Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Kali Temple, located on the side of the road in front of the station, attracts people. It is believed that worshiping and praying to Mother Kali in this temple fulfills all desires, especially the desire for children. If a woman who desires a child sincerely worships Mother Kali, she will definitely be blessed. This is why people come here throughout the year to seek the fulfillment of their desires and betterment.
The construction of the Kali Temple in Malaypur was completed in 1997. However, the worship of Mother Kali has been going on here for centuries. The temple has a havan Kund where a continuous fire has been lit since 2008. This means that smoke has been continuously emanating from this havan Kund for 16 years. Devotees who come here with faith and belief have been continuously offering worship materials in the havan Kund for the past 16 years. Alongside the havan Kund, two eternal flames have been lit since 2019.
Every day, a flower garland is offered to the idols of the deities in the Kali Temple by flower makers from Madhupur in Jharkhand. The flowers used in the garlands are prepared in Kolkata by a Muslim family living in Madhupur. This means that the flowers are brought from Kolkata to Madhupur by the Hasanain family and then brought to the Kali Temple in Malaypur through various means before 3 am every morning.
Mohammad Hasanain, who prepares the flower garlands, said that he has a lot of faith in this place. All the troubles and difficulties faced by his family and relatives were resolved by worshiping and praying to Mother Kali. Sabir Ansari, a member of the Muslim community who has been working in the temple premises for 15 years, also has a lot of faith in Mother Kali. He even offers prayers in the temple while working on the paintings.
Ashok Kumar Singh, the chairman of the Kali Temple Committee, said that preparations for the installation of the idols of Lord Ram and Krishna have been underway since 2013. Since 2013, the idea was to have not only all the deities but also the darbars of Lord Ram and Krishna in this place. Now that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been built and consecration is taking place, we considered this an auspicious moment and are also installing the idols of Lord Ram and Krishna here.
