JMM Central Committee Meeting
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is organizing a resolution rally today in response to the decision taken during the JMM central committee meeting regarding the protest against the arrest of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the misuse of central agencies. The rally aims to show resistance against these actions and highlight the misuse of political power.
Preparation for the Rally
The party has been making extensive preparations for the resolution rally, with banners and posters put up across Ranchi highlighting the issues of Hemant Soren’s arrest and the misuse of central agencies. The rally is expected to be attended by party leaders, MLAs, MPs, and senior members, showcasing a united front against these actions.
Protests and Demonstrations
JMM has been protesting against Hemant Soren’s arrest since January 31st, with a hunger strike turning into a justice march that has been ongoing in various villages as part of the Nyay Yatra. The central committee meeting held on February 22nd also provided directives to continue the protest against the ED’s actions through the Nyay March and fasting programs.
Engaging with the People
During the central committee meeting, it was decided that the party would reach out to the people at their homes and inform them about Hemant Soren’s contributions, such as providing universal pension to the needy, including state employees in the old pension scheme, providing housing in Abuja, and arranging for the education of youth from marginalized communities abroad. The party aims to expose the alleged conspiracy by the BJP and the central government to frame Hemant Soren in false cases.
