Recognition in the Village
The saying goes that even in the mud hut, there is a hidden gem, and a lotus blooms in the mud. This saying has come true in the Narasandi village of Shambhuganj block in Banka district. Dr. Krishna Kumar Singh from Narasandi village of Gulni Kushaha panchayat in the area is adorning the position of Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha, Maharashtra. His father was a farmer and his mother a homemaker. Dr. Singh has received a warm welcome upon his visit to his ancestral village after a long time, with the villagers expressing joy at his accomplishments.
Respect and Welcome
Upon his first visit back to Narasandi village as Chancellor, Dr. Singh was greeted with respect and honor by the villagers. They expressed that the Chancellor is a source of pride for them. A felicitation ceremony was organized with the support of Dr. Makhan Prasad Sharma, a Gandhian thinker and childhood classmate of the Chancellor. The villagers welcomed Dr. Singh and the guests with traditional rituals and songs performed by local students.
Educational Journey and Achievements
Dr. Singh began his education at the primary school in his village and completed his higher education at Gulni Kushaha. He pursued further studies at Bhagalpur TNB College and went on to achieve degrees in Hindi literature from Bhagalpur University. He completed his M.Phil and Ph.D. from Hyderabad University and later served as a lecturer at SMMTPG College in Ballia. In 2010, he became a professor at Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University and was appointed as the Chancellor the same year.

In his address, Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of his roots in Narasandi village. He shared memories of his humble upbringing and journey to education, highlighting the progress and development in the area. The villagers praised his simplicity and humility, noting his frequent visits to the village and interactions with the community. Various local leaders and residents also expressed their admiration and support for Dr. Singh during the felicitation ceremony.
एक कहावत है कि गुदड़ी में भी लाल छिपा होता है और कीचड़ में कमल खिलता है. यही कहावत बांका जिले के शंभुगंज प्रखंड क्षेत्र के नरसंडी गांव में चरितार्थ हुआ है, जहाँ के गुलनी कुशहा पंचायत के नरसंडी गांव के डा. कृष्ण कुमार सिंह महात्मा गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हिंदी विश्वविद्यालय वर्धा महाराष्ट्र के कुलपति पद को सुशोभित कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने अपने गांव नरसंडी में एक भव्य स्वागत किया और ग्रामीणों ने उन्हें बहुत सम्मान और गौरव दिया। उनका संघर्ष और प्रयास गांव वासियों के लिए एक प्रेरणा स्रोत बना है।
