Record Car Sales in Bihar in 2023
In 2023, the state of Bihar witnessed a record-breaking sale of cars. According to the data provided by the Department of Transportation, a total of 12.88 lakh vehicles were purchased in the state. This surpassed the previous record of 11.29 lakh vehicle sales in 2022. In the previous year, a total of 2,39,36,153 vehicles were sold across the country, with Bihar accounting for 5.38% of the total sales. The highest number of cars were sold in Uttar Pradesh.
Surpassing Pre-COVID Records
The car sales in Bihar have not only broken the previous records but have also surpassed the sales figures before the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, a record-breaking sale of 12.88 lakh vehicles was recorded, compared to 11.29 lakh vehicles in 2022. The highest sale of cars was recorded in 2018, with around 12.85 lakh vehicles sold. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the market witnessed a slowdown in various sectors, including the automobile industry.
Decline and Recovery
During the period of 2020 and 2021, car sales saw a decline, with 10.36 lakh and 10.09 lakh vehicles sold, respectively. However, in 2022, there was a slight improvement with 11.29 lakh vehicles sold. The year 2023 witnessed a significant increase in car sales, reaching a figure of 12.88 lakh. This indicates a recovery in the automobile market and a strong demand for cars in Bihar.
बिहार के पटना में 2023 में गाड़ियों की रिकॉर्ड बिक्री हुई है। परिवहन विभाग के अनुसार, इस वर्ष राज्य में 12 लाख 88 हजार वाहनों की खरीदारी हुई है जो कोरोना के पहले के रिकॉर्ड भी तोड़ती है। पिछले साल पूरे देश में 2,39,36,153 वाहनों की बिक्री हुई है और इसमें बिहार का हिस्सा 5.38 प्रतिशत है। बिहार में गाड़ियों की बिक्री ने उत्तर प्रदेश की बिक्री को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। 2018 में राज्य में 12.85 लाख वाहनों की बिक्री हुई थी, जो अब तक का सर्वाधिक आंकड़ा था। कोविड संक्रमण के कारण पिछले दो सालों में बिक्री में कमी देखी गई थी, लेकिन 2022 में इसमें मामूली बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई थी। 2023 में वाहनों की बिक्री ने फिर से रफ्तार पकड़ी है और 12 लाख 85 हजार तक पहुंच गई है।
