Reetlal Yadav Acquitted in Satyanarayan Sinha Murder Case
Reetlal Yadav, who was accused in the Satyanarayan Sinha murder case, has been acquitted by the Patna High Court. The incident took place on April 30, 2003, during the ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar, when Satyanarayan Sinha, husband of BJP MLA Aasha Sinha, was murdered in broad daylight near Danapur police station.
The Era of ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar
The period of ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar, from 1990 to 2005 during the rule of Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, was marked by a rise in crime and the dominance of muscle power. Despite the strict comments from the Patna High Court, ‘Jungle Raj’ continued to prevail, creating fear among the common people. The murder of Satyanarayan Sinha brought back memories of that era.
