Gopalganj Police Inspector Reviews Pending Cases

The Superintendent of Police in Gopalganj, Swarn Prabhat, conducted a review of pending cases on Thursday. During this time, he found that due to negligence and non-compliance of instructions by various station house officers and sub-inspectors in the district, their salaries were withheld. He instructed all police stations to match the list of pending cases with the e-court, but the list was not made available within the specified time frame.

Action Taken Against Negligence

As a result of the delay in providing the list of pending cases, there was negligence in work and non-compliance of instructions. Until the list of pending cases is matched with the e-court, everyone’s salary will be withheld. To expedite the disposal of pending files in various police stations in the district, sub-inspectors were appointed by the police headquarters. Their responsibilities include disposing of pending cases, timely submission of charge sheets in court, verifying passports, PCCs, and character certificates.

Appointment of Sub-Inspectors for Swift Action

To ensure timely action on pending cases, sub-inspectors were appointed in various police stations in the district. Despite this, there was a lack of enthusiasm and negligence in their work, which led to action being taken during the review by Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat. The aim is to streamline the process and ensure that pending cases are resolved promptly and efficiently.
