What’s inside:

RJD has accused JDU leaders of illegally occupying government bungalows in Bihar and has demanded transparency from the government.

In Patna, there is a new political issue brewing as the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has raised concerns about some leaders from Janata Dal United (JDU) occupying government bungalows. RJD’s spokesperson, Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav, has written to the Bihar Building Construction Department, questioning how these leaders are still living in these houses.

The letter specifically names two leaders, Sanjay Jha and Devesh Chandra Thakur, who are currently MPs but were previously allotted bungalows as ministers. RJD is asking why they have not moved out to their official residences in Delhi and are still using the Bihar Central Pool houses.

This situation has raised important questions about whether these leaders are using their influence to stay in these bungalows. The RJD has also asked if these leaders are paying an inflated rent, ten times the market rate, or if there is some other reason for their continued stay.

Furthermore, the letter makes a surprising claim about a basement in one of the bungalows, suggesting it is still in use. This has added fuel to the political fire in Bihar, prompting the RJD to also question the stay of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in a similar bungalow.

Prof. Yadav has requested a clear response from the Building Construction Department regarding the situation. He wants to know when these houses will be vacated and how much rent has been collected from those who have overstayed. The RJD hopes that this issue will lead to greater transparency in government housing allocations.
