RJD leader and district president Saadik Khan recited the Hanuman Chalisa during a dialogue program for the workers of the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bettiah, Bihar. Khan stated that there are some people who want to spread hatred by pitting brothers against each other in the name of religion. He emphasized the need to build a better Bihar and condemned those who try to spread madness in the name of religion. A video of Khan reciting the Hanuman Chalisa on stage has gone viral on social media.
RJD leaders have been continuously raising questions about Sanatan Dharma, Hindu deities, and temples. While some question the Ramcharitmanas, others criticize the route to temples. On one hand, RJD leaders are making statements about Hinduism, and on the other hand, the party claims to respect all religions. Two RJD leaders, Bihar’s Education Minister Chandrashekhar and MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, have openly spoken against Sanatan Dharma, temples, and Hindu deities. They have sparked controversies by making controversial comments in Patna and other places.
Leaders of the ‘India’ party, which is against the NDA, have also been making continuous statements against Sanatan Dharma. Even leaders of the RJD, the party of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, have been expressing their thoughts against Hinduism and deities in various parts of the state. However, in Bettiah, a Muslim leader of the RJD recited the Hanuman Chalisa on stage. It is worth noting that Lalu and Tejashwi had also visited the Balaji temple and performed a puja there, along with organizing a mundan ceremony.
