Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi Visit Temple: Dialogue Associate, Sonpur

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi made an unexpected visit to Baba Hariharnath temple in Sonpur, Vaishali district on Monday morning. They offered prayers at the temple and then left.

Rituals Performed as Per Law

Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi were welcomed by the Panda-priests at the main entrance of the temple. They performed the Rudrabhishek of Baba Hari and Har under the guidance of Acharya Sushil Chandra Shastri and Bambam Baba. Secretary of Temple Trust Committee Vijay Kumar Singh Lalla and JDU’s provincial leader Shailendra Pratap were also present.

Rabri Presented with Chunri and Lalu Presented with Clothing

After the puja, Rabri Devi was presented with a Chunari and Lalu Prasad was presented with a piece of clothing by the Temple Trust Committee. Rabri Devi mentioned that she prayed for peace in the country and Bihar.

Crowd Gathered to See Lalu-Rabri

News of Lalu and Rabri’s visit quickly spread, attracting a crowd of people near the temple who wanted to catch a glimpse of the leaders. Lalu Prasad arrived at the temple in a bus-shaped chariot, while Rabri Devi arrived by car.

The leaders spent around half an hour performing rituals inside the temple. The temple priest, Bambam Baba, explained that Monday is considered auspicious for Lord Shiva, and on this day, all wishes can be fulfilled by making a resolution at Baba Hariharnath. Lalu Prasad has visited this temple multiple times before, as it falls within his work area in Saran.
