Angry people in Bihar’s Begusarai district staged a protest by blocking the road and placing the body on NH-28, accusing the negligence of the electricity department after a farmer died a painful death due to an electric shock while irrigating the fields. The incident caused chaos among the relatives of the deceased and led to a demonstration against the electricity department. The roadblock caused inconvenience to the people in commuting to their destinations in the Narapura Diyar area of Bachwara Thana.

According to the information, the deceased person has been identified as Chandan Kumar Ray, son of Ramkaran Ray, a resident of Ward number 10 of Rani Panchayat in the Bachwara Thana area. Relatives revealed that Chandan Kumar had gone to irrigate his fields when a 11,000-volt electric wire broke and fell in the field while irrigating. The electric wire breaking resulted in Chandan Kumar getting electrocuted, leading to his tragic death in the field itself.

The tragic incident has caused an uproar among the locals in the Bachwara Thana area, with many blaming the negligence of the electricity department for the farmer’s death. The roadblock and protest by the angry residents have caused significant disruptions in the movement of people to and from their destinations in the Narapura Diyar area. The incident highlights the risks faced by farmers while working in the fields and the need for ensuring safety measures during such activities to prevent such tragic accidents in the future.
