Theft at Former Headman’s House in Bihar

Chor thieves broke into the house of former headman of Sirakatta panchayat in Barari police station area of Katihar late at night. According to reports, jewelry and cash were stolen from the house. The police and FSL team reached the spot and started investigating the incident. The victim, former headman and MLA representative Rajeev Chaudhary, mentioned that they were asleep when the incident took place.

Details of the Incident

When they woke up in the morning, they found the door of their room locked from the outside. They went to the courtyard from the back door, where the door of their servant’s room was also closed. The victim stated that jewelry worth 10 lakhs and 70 thousand in cash were missing. The police team conducted a thorough investigation outside the house.

Reaction of Officials

Upon receiving information about the incident, MLA Vijay Singh and former MP Nikhil Kumar Chaudhary also arrived at the scene. The MLA expressed his disappointment over the incident and stated that the theft was pre-planned. The DSP Darmendra Kumar mentioned that the FSL team and dog squad are assisting in the investigation and the culprits will be apprehended soon.
