Robbery at Goldsmith’s House in Kishanganj
In Kishanganj, six criminals entered the home of a gold and silver trader. When they couldn’t open the safe, the thugs beat up the owner of the house. The criminals had entered the gold trader’s house from the back. They had broken the door. There is a jewelry shop in the house. The matter was reported to the police by the victim.
Attack on Gold Trader Litu Sarkar
The incident took place at the residence of gold trader Litu Sarkar in Hasan Bazar area. The criminals also beat up the homeowner. In the midst of the chaos, a woman was also pushed. Litu Sarkar explained that late at night, several thugs broke the back door’s chain and entered the house. At that time, I, my mother, wife, and son were at home. The criminals were disguised with clothes covering their faces and all were armed. Before I could understand anything, the criminals attacked me. They started beating me badly. When my wife tried to intervene, they pushed her. After that, they looted many gold and silver ornaments from my house. However, when the police car arrived in the area, the criminals fled.
Arrest of Akash Chauhan and Pankaj Kumar
The District Magistrate of Islampur in Bengal, Jebi Thomas, informed that in this incident, Akash Chauhan (20) and Pankaj Kumar (20) have been arrested. They reside in the Faringola area of Kishanganj.
