Rohit Saini wins Bronze in Taekwondo Championship
Rohit Saini, a player from Sheikhpura district in Bihar, showcased an outstanding performance on the second day of the 7th Cadet National Taekwondo Championship held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He secured a bronze medal for the Bihar state team. Rohit Saini is the son of tent shop owner Ranjit Malakar and housewife Poonam Devi, residing in Commissioner Market, Sheikhpura.
Impressive Journey to Victory
Coached by Kundan Kumar, Rohit won his first fight against Tamil Nadu and the second fight against Maharashtra. In the semifinal match against Arunachal Pradesh, he faced a close defeat due to an injury on his foot but managed to secure the bronze medal. Despite the injury, Rohit fought courageously and made his coach proud.

Coach Kumar expressed his pride in Rohit’s performance and hopes that he will continue to bring glory to Sheikhpura district and Bihar in the future. This achievement is a significant milestone for the district. After the matches on the second day of the championship, Bihar bagged a total of 1 gold and 3 bronze medals.
