This article discusses a ticket scam involving tampered tickets and the misuse of AI in Indian Railways.

Railway authorities have uncovered a ticket scam where fraudsters are using artificial intelligence (AI) to tamper with train tickets. This issue came to light during an investigation by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) after a case in Darbhanga.

In recent investigations, it was found that some railway employees may be involved in this scam. Ticket fraudsters buy general tickets and then alter them using AI to make them appear as long-distance tickets. These fake tickets are then sold to unsuspecting passengers at smaller stations.

On November 19, a person at the UTS counter in Darbhanga was caught trying to return a tampered ticket. The RPF took him into custody but later released him without taking action. Now, he is missing, and an FIR has been lodged against him.

In a related incident, four people were caught in Muzaffarpur for having tampered tickets. They had a micro seal that could change ticket details, indicating a bigger network may be involved. These individuals are currently out on bail.

The RPF is now investigating the possibility of a larger ticket scam involving multiple states and is looking into how railway staff might be colluding with these fraudsters. More action is expected as the investigation unfolds.
