On Wednesday morning at Gaya railway station in Bihar, a serious accident was narrowly avoided. A passenger tried to board the moving Sealdah-Ajmer Express train but slipped and fell into the gap between the platform and the train.

The incident happened around 6:30 AM on platform number one. RPF personnel, who were patrolling the area, acted quickly to rescue the passenger, named Mithlesh Kumar. He was stuck until his waist in the gap but was pulled out safely without major injuries.

Mithlesh, who is 32 years old and works as a Senior ALP, was hurrying to catch the train and left his mobile phone behind. He slipped because he was wearing gloves and couldn’t hold on properly. Fortunately, the RPF team was alert and managed to handle the situation promptly.

After being rescued, Mithlesh expressed his gratitude to the RPF staff. They informed the train’s escort party about his mobile phone, which was safely returned to him later at Gaya station.

This incident serves as a reminder for all passengers to stay alert and follow safety rules while boarding trains. It highlights the importance of quick thinking and timely action in emergencies.
