Pattern of Sainik School Entrance Exam 2024: The entrance exam for admission to class 6 in Sainik Schools is a 150-minute exam with a total of 300 questions. The exam consists of 25 questions each from language, general knowledge, and intelligence subjects, carrying 50-50 marks. Additionally, there are 50 questions from the mathematics subject, carrying 150 marks. To secure a good rank in the Sainik School Entrance Exam, it is important to score well in all subjects, but mathematics holds greater importance.
Syllabus for class 6: The syllabus for the Sainik School Entrance Exam in mathematics includes topics such as natural numbers, LCM and HCF, unitary method, fractions, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, simplification, averages, percentages, area and perimeter, geometry and angles, temperature, conversion of units, Roman numerals, types of angles, circles, volume of cube and cuboid, prime and composite numbers, plane figures, decimal numbers, speed and time, operations on numbers, complementary and supplementary angles, arranging fractions, etc. The syllabus for English includes comprehension passage, preposition, article, vocabulary, verbs and types, confusing words, question tags, types of sentences, tense forms, different types of nouns and pronouns, correct spelling, ordering of words in a sentence, sentence formation, antonyms, synonyms, adjectives, interjection, idioms and phrases, collective nouns, numbers, gender, adverbs, rhyming words, and singular/plural. The syllabus for general knowledge and intelligence is not specified.
Medium of Examination: The All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates can choose any of these languages to appear for the exam.
