What’s inside:

Bihar is experiencing severe cold and dense fog, with an orange alert issued for many districts.

Bihar is facing a very cold spell right now. The chilly westerly winds are making it even colder. The weather department has issued an orange alert for 32 districts due to cold day conditions and dense fog. This cold weather is expected to continue troubling people as we approach the end of the year.

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that the recent snowfall in the hilly areas of North India and an active western disturbance are affecting Bihar’s weather. The combination of cold winds from the Himalayas and moisture from the Bay of Bengal is contributing to the cold and foggy conditions we are experiencing.

Many areas, including the capital Patna, are expected to have dense fog in the mornings. Visibility could drop to as low as 50 to 100 meters. The fog is likely to become thicker on December 29 and 30, and the New Year might start with similar cold and foggy conditions. However, there is some hope that the cold will start to ease after December 31.

Cold day conditions are affecting several districts like West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, and Patna, among others. Meanwhile, districts such as Khagaria and Banka do not have any alerts right now. The weather department is advising people to stay alert, avoid unnecessary travel, and take steps to protect themselves from the cold.

As this cold wave continues, it’s important for everyone to stay warm. The weather department is keeping a close watch on the situation and will provide updates on any changes. So, stay tuned and take care of yourselves during this chilly weather!
