Thieves targeted the house of DSP Umeshwar Chaudhary in Faizabad, Barbigha, Sheikhpura. This incident comes after a series of thefts in the area. The thieves managed to cut the lock and door latch of the house, but due to it being morning, they were not successful in their attempt. DSP Umeshwar Chaudhary is currently posted in the DIG office in Muzaffarpur.

Umeshwar Singh, the DSP, spoke to Dainik Jagran over the phone and informed that his parents reside in another house in Faizabad. The old house, which was locked, was targeted by the thieves. However, due to it being morning, the thieves fled the scene. The incident was reported to the Mission OP in-charge of Barbigha, but no action was taken until noon.

The SDPO of Sheikhpura was informed about the incident, but no action was taken. Umeshwar Chaudhary has demanded fingerprint identification of the thieves and expressed concern over the attitude of the local police.
