Shravani Mela 2024

During the Shravani Mela 2024, a large number of devotees are walking from Sultanaganj to Baba Dham Deoghar with holy water from the Ganges. Some of these pilgrims have faced difficulties due to the harsh weather conditions along the way. Several devotees have fainted and fallen on the Kanwariya path, with some needing to be admitted to hospitals. However, it is said that Lord Shiva tests his devotees on this journey.

Heat and Discomfort

In recent days, pilgrims walking on the Kanwariya path have been experiencing intense heat and humidity. The scorching sun has made the path even hotter, causing some pilgrims to collapse. In Tarapur, Munger, a Kanwariya fainted due to the extreme weather conditions, requiring hospitalization. The journey has been challenging for many devotees due to the weather.

Unconscious Pilgrims

On the Kanwariya path near Abarakha in Katoria, a pilgrim from Madhubani collapsed due to the heat. Another pilgrim from Betiya district also fell ill suddenly and had to be hospitalized. The heat and humidity have been causing distress to the pilgrims in recent days, leading to such incidents.

Blessings of Lord Shiva

After facing the heat and humidity while carrying the Kanwar, devotees walking to Baba Dham have suddenly received the blessings of Lord Shiva. Monsoon has become active again in Bihar, with rain starting on Thursday. The atmosphere on the Kanwariya path has become cheerful, with devotees rejoicing in the rain. The devotees, who have been walking barefoot on the scorching Kanwariya path for the past few days, are now dancing with joy as they head towards Baba Dham.
