A large procession was organized in Siwan on Thursday to show support for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The event saw significant participation from the local community, with many people carrying banners and posters. The rally began in the afternoon and moved through the city streets under tight security. Local administration and police officials were present throughout the route to ensure law and order was maintained.
Route and Strict Conditions for the Rally
The march started from Purani Kila Maidan around 2:00 PM and proceeded towards Gopalganj Mod, passing through Makhdum Sarai Mod. The district administration had granted conditional permission for this event. Strict instructions were issued beforehand, stating that no inflammatory speeches or offensive slogans would be tolerated.
Organizers were told to ensure that the sentiments of other communities were not hurt. The participants followed the designated route, and the administration monitored the situation closely to prevent any disruption to public order.
Police Kept a Close Watch on the City
Considering the sensitivity of the event, the Siwan District Police deployed personnel at all key intersections. The entire route was under heavy surveillance to manage traffic and ensure the safety of the public. This rally comes after reports of recent geopolitical developments involving Iran.
Officials confirmed that the program concluded without any violence or legal violations. The police managed the crowd effectively, ensuring that daily life in the city was not severely impacted during the movement of the procession.
