On December 3, 2025, Randha Kumar Sah, the head of Gopi Patiyav Panchayat, was shot dead by unknown attackers in broad daylight at Phulwariya village. This shocking incident created fear among the locals and raised concerns about safety in the area.

Randha Kumar was riding his Bullet motorcycle when the attackers ambushed him. They shot him at close range and quickly fled the scene, leaving his motorcycle on the road and him dead at the spot. Following this incident, the family of the deceased filed a murder case at Raghunathpur police station, prompting an immediate investigation by the police.

The Siwan District Police took this murder case very seriously. Soon after the incident, they collaborated with the state Special Task Force (STF) to conduct a large-scale operation. Using technical data and undercover sources, the police worked hard to track down the criminals involved.

The police managed to arrest three main suspects based on their investigation. The accused are Vishal Kumar Yadav, Satyam Kumar Ram, and Ankit Kumar. Notably, Vishal has a long history of criminal activities, with multiple cases registered against him in various police stations across Uttar Pradesh.

During the police operation, crucial evidence was recovered, including a country-made pistol, the motorcycle used in the crime, and several mobile phones. This successful operation by the Siwan Police is seen as a significant step in restoring public trust in safety and order in the community.
