On Sunday, police recovered 1761 bottles of liquor from a Bolero on the National Highway near Karmanasha Canal turn under the local police station area of Durgwati in Kaimur district of Bihar. Along with this, the police have also arrested two smugglers.
Among the arrested smugglers are Akash Yadav of Gagtar village of Agiaon Bazar police station area and Rajkumar Yadav of Ujjain Dihra village of Piro police station area. Both are said to be residents of Bhojpur district.
Secret information was received about liquor
Durgavati police station incharge Rajeev Ranjan Singh got secret information that liquor was being loaded in a Bolero and being brought from UP to the border of Bihar. As soon as the information was received, the police immediately became active and reached near Karmanasha Canal turn and started waiting for the arrival of the said Bolero. Within a short while the said Bolero was seen coming.
When the police stopped and searched the said Bolero when they came closer, a total of 1761 bottles of liquor were recovered inside it. After this the police arrested both the smugglers. Simultaneously seized the Bolero and brought it to the police station.
103 liters of liquor and bike seized, smuggler absconding
Apart from this, the team of Asaon police station in Siwan, on the basis of secret information, raided near the bridge located in Piparhiya village on Sunday and seized three bikes with 103 liters of liquor. Seeing the police, the liquor smugglers managed to escape.
PSI Dinesh Kumar Pandey and other police forces were present in the raid. Police station incharge Vipin Kumar said that further action is being taken by filing an FIR against three unknown liquor smugglers.
