PM Poshan Yojana Audit in Government Schools of Nawada
An audit of the PM Poshan Yojana (MDM) being implemented in government schools in Nawada will be conducted to assess the situation. More than 160 primary and middle schools in the districts will be included in this audit. The Deputy Director and District Programme Officer of MDM, Mo. Majhar Hussain, mentioned that currently, government schools up to the eighth grade are closed until June 19. Due to this situation, the social audit of MDM in schools could not be conducted. Once the schools reopen, a date will be announced by the authorities for conducting the audit.
Social Audit Process and Calendar Preparation
The social audit of MDM will involve checking attendance, material procurement, and engaging with children and parents to understand the ground reality of the PM Poshan Yojana. A calendar has been prepared for the social audit process, and the audit will be conducted according to this schedule. During the audit, no interference will be allowed by MDM officials in any process. The audit team will inspect the MDM and nutrition registers, attendance registers, material procurement registers, and more.
Public Hearing and Follow-up Actions
On the sixth day of the audit, a public hearing will be organized. Following the social audit, public hearings will be conducted in schools’ nutrition areas according to the calendar. Officials of the scheme will be present with all documents during the social audit. The social audit will be held in the premises of the school’s nutrition area, community buildings, schools, and Anganwadi centers. The ground reality of MDM will be revealed during the audit, focusing on the ratio of children in schools and cleanliness measures in MDM.
Ensuring Transparency and Accountability
The social audit will determine if MDM is being implemented effectively in schools and if cleanliness standards are being maintained. The presence of officials and workers related to the scheme with all relevant documents will ensure transparency during the public hearings. Further actions will be taken based on the findings of the audit, ensuring accountability in the implementation of the PM Poshan Yojana in schools.
नवादा के सरकारी स्कूलों में संचालित पीएम पोषण योजना(एमडीएम) की स्थिति जानने के लिए एक सोशल ऑडिट किया जाएगा। इसमें जिलों के 16 सौ से अधिक प्राइमरी व मिडिल स्कूल शामिल होंगे। एमडीएम के डीपीओ और डीडीसी ने बताया कि फिलहाल स्कूलों में एमडीएम की सोशल ऑडिट नहीं हो सकी है लेकिन यह जल्दी ही शुरू की जाएगी। ऑडिट के दौरान एमडीएम की जमीनी सच सामने आएगी और स्कूलों में बच्चों के अनुपात और स्वच्छता की जांच की जाएगी।
