Staff Shortage at Bhagalpur Railway Station
Due to a shortage of staff at Bhagalpur railway station, several departments are facing difficulties. The process of recruitment to fill the vacancies is not being followed, leading to additional burden on existing employees.
Low Staffing in Booking Office
There is a significant shortage of staff in the booking office, with only 19 out of 32 positions currently filled. This has resulted in employees being assigned tasks from other departments as well, causing further strain on the existing workforce.
Crackdown on Ticketless Travel
On the instructions of the DRM, a ticket checking campaign was conducted between Bhagalpur and Jamalpur, as well as Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon. During the operation, 79 passengers were caught traveling without tickets and fined a total of Rs. 33,885.
Strict Action Against Violators
Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found traveling without tickets in the future. The joint efforts of commercial and security teams aim to curb ticketless travel and ensure the smooth functioning of Bhagalpur railway station.
