Tragic Incident at Women’s Polytechnic College Hostel in Muzaffarpur

In a tragic incident on Saturday morning in Muzaffarpur, a student from Women’s Polytechnic College committed suicide by jumping off the fourth floor of the hostel. The deceased has been identified as Anjali Kumari (17) from Sonpur. It is reported that Anjali Kumari had failed in one subject in her second year result, after failing in two subjects the previous year, leading to significant mental pressure.

Police Investigation and Initial Findings

The incident took place at the Girls’ Hostel of the Women’s Polytechnic College in the Bela Thana area. The police were informed and arrived at the scene for investigation. The hostel authorities informed the police about the incident and provided details. The police, along with the FSL team, conducted a thorough examination at the site and have sent the body for postmortem.

Student Jumps from Fourth Floor

The officer in charge of the Bela Thana, Ranjana Verma, stated that they received information about a girl committing suicide by jumping off the roof. It was revealed that she had failed in one subject in her second year result, which led to her taking this extreme step. The police are actively investigating the case to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident and will take further action accordingly.
