**Subhash Yadav granted bail after 37 days in jail**
Former Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Yadav, brother of Rabri Devi, wife of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, was granted bail by the MP MLA Court’s Special Judge Vinay Prakash Tiwari. Subhash Yadav had filed for bail after spending around 37 days in jail. Initially, his bail plea was rejected by the lower court, but it was accepted in the Special Court, leading to his release.
**Surrender on 13th February**
Subhash Yadav had been evading the police in connection with previous cases. On 13th February, the Danapur police had reached his house with heavy police force to seize his property. Keeping this in mind, Subhash Yadav surrendered himself in the MP-MLA Court in Patna on the same day to avoid any further legal action against him.
**Allegations leading to jail time**
According to the police, Subhash Yadav was jailed on charges of fraud, criminal breach of trust, and cheating in a land deal where he allegedly bought land in his wife’s name from Bhim Verma’s mother for 96 lakhs. Bhim accused him of pressuring him to return 60 lakhs starting from 27th February 2021. When the money was not returned, Subhash Yadav allegedly threatened Bhim’s mother and brother and refused to return the money, leading to legal action against him.
**Legal issues and political pressure**
After the victims sought justice at CM Nitish Kumar’s public hearing, a case was filed against Subhash Yadav and others based on the CM’s orders. The allegations and legal issues have put Subhash Yadav in a tough spot, with political pressure mounting against him.
