Tragic Incident During Voting in Munger

In Munger, during the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections today, voting is underway. However, a polling officer passed away just 18 minutes before the polling began. The incident took place at booth number 210 in Shankarpur village in the district. The deceased has been identified as Omkar Kumar Choudhary, a 45-year-old primary school teacher from Khurui village in Tetiabambar police station area.

Heart Attack Before Polling

The polling officer suffered a heart attack just before the voting commenced, leading to his untimely demise. He had applied for leave but his request was not processed in time. The sudden demise has left his family and colleagues in shock.

Primary School Teacher Turned Polling Officer

The deceased, Omkar Kumar Choudhary, was actively working as a primary school teacher in his village. He had taken leave to fulfil his duty as a polling officer for the elections. Unfortunately, he could not witness the voting process due to his sudden demise.

No Action Taken on Leave Application

Despite applying for leave, no action was taken on his request, leading to the unfortunate incident. The polling process continued as scheduled, with authorities ensuring that the voting process was not disrupted due to the tragic event.
