**Details**
The incident took place in Simultala Middle School under Jhajha block of Jamui district. Due to the intense heat on Wednesday, more than a dozen schools in various blocks of Jamui district had over two dozen children, teachers, and female teachers unconscious.
**Statewide Issue**
This incident was not limited to Jamui district but was seen in other districts of the state as well. Following the news published prominently by Amar Ujala, on the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the order to close schools from May 30 to June 8 was issued. However, during this time, it will be mandatory for teachers to stay in school and all schools will have principals, HMs, and teachers arrive at the school from 8 am to 11 am to carry out various activities.
**Implementation of Orders**
In response to this directive, teachers from all over the district arrived at their respective schools on Thursday according to the designated time, but due to the intense heat, Sanskrit teacher Jyotima Kumari of Simultala Middle School under Jhajha block fainted an hour after reaching the school, causing panic among the teachers. The teacher was given primary treatment at the school and was sent to Deoghar for better treatment.

The incident of teachers and students fainting due to the heatwave has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of individuals in schools, leading to the implementation of new directives to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in the education system.
