Teacher Shot and Killed in Madhepura
A teacher in the Puraini police station area of Madhepura was shot and injured near NH-106 on July 31st. He was being taken to Patna for treatment on Friday night when he passed away on the way. The deceased, Chandrashekhar Jha (47), was a resident of Karama Ward 1 in Sapardah Panchayat. It was reported that the teacher was going from his home to Madhy Vidyalaya Sinhar in Alamnagar police station area on July 31st.
Incident and Arrest
Approximately 1.5 kilometers from his home on NH-106 near Sheeshbanni Diversions, the teacher was shot at by criminals riding a bike. The bullet hit the right side of his back. After being shot, Chandrashekhar fell on the road along with his bike. The criminals fled the scene after the incident. People in the vicinity gathered upon hearing the gunshot and informed the teacher’s family about the incident. He was admitted to Puraini PHC for initial treatment and later referred to a higher center for better treatment.
Death and Arrest of the Accused
Chandrashekhar’s treatment was ongoing at Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. On Friday evening, his condition deteriorated, and he was being taken to Patna when he passed away on the way. Meanwhile, the police arrested Niranjankumar Bhagat alias Babloo, a resident of Madheli in the Alamnagar police station area, on charges of shooting the teacher. The accused is also a teacher at Madhy Vidyalaya Singar in Alamnagar.
Previous Dispute and Criminal History
SDPO Avinash Kumar of Udakishunganj stated that the incident of shooting the teacher Chandrashekhar Jha arose from an old dispute. The arrested teacher Niranjankumar Bhagat has a previous criminal history. He has a total of five cases registered against him in Alamnagar, Madhepura Sadar, and Bhawanipur police stations in Purnia.
मधेपुरा के पुरैनी थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत NH-106 पर 31 जुलाई को शीशबन्नी डायवर्सन के पास एक शिक्षक को गोली मारकर घायल कर दिया गया था, जिसके बाद उसे पटना ले जाने के दौरान मौत हो गई। गोली मारने के आरोपी निरंजन कुमार भगत उर्फ बबलू को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है। इसके साथ ही उसका पूर्व से आपराधिक इतिहास भी है।
