During the Chhath Mahaparv festival, newly appointed teachers are facing difficulties due to training. The education department has scheduled training sessions for all the newly appointed teachers during the Chhath festival. This has caused inconvenience for the teachers who observe the Chhath vrat (fasting). If they skip the training, they may face job repercussions. The decision to schedule training during the festival has raised concerns among the teachers.

Some teachers who observe the Chhath Mahaparv have expressed their dilemma as they have to choose between breaking their fast and attending the training. They have approached the authorities with their concerns, requesting the government to consider their situation. The education department and the chief secretary of the education department have been urged to take the matter seriously and provide a holiday during the Chhath festival.

The training schedule for the newly appointed teachers has been set from November 4th to November 18th. However, the Chhath Mahaparv falls between November 17th and November 20th. This means that the teachers will have to attend training during the festival. Many male and female teachers have made a vow to observe the Chhath festival after becoming teachers, which has put them in a difficult situation.

The Bihar Raj Vidyalaya Adhyapak Sangh (Teachers’ Association) has written a letter to the education department and the Bihar government, demanding that no training should be conducted during the Chhath festival. They have highlighted the fact that the newly appointed teachers have left their previous means of livelihood to join the teaching profession. Unfortunately, the government is not providing any allowance or salary during the training, which is causing financial difficulties for the teachers. The Teachers’ Association has requested the government to start providing salaries to the newly appointed teachers from the day they receive their appointment letters.
