Tejashwi Yadav Exposes Healthcare Issues in Purnia Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit to Bihar on September 15

On 15 September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar. Just before this visit, Tejashwi Yadav, who is the Leader of the Opposition, made an unexpected visit to Purnia Medical College and Hospital. He wanted to check how the health department is doing in the state.

During his surprise inspection, Tejashwi revealed some shocking conditions at the hospital. He shared a video showing patients lying on the floor because there were not enough beds. Many children were also shown sleeping on the ground, raising serious concerns about healthcare facilities in the region.

Tejashwi also pointed out that the medical college lacked basic facilities. He mentioned there was no ICU, the trauma center was not working, and many patients had to share beds. Furthermore, he highlighted that patients had not had their bedsheets changed for weeks, and cleanliness was a big issue.

According to Tejashwi, the hospital is severely understaffed, with only a fraction of the required nurses and doctors available. He claimed that many departments were closed and medical interns had not been paid for six months. This situation has forced many patients to seek care in private hospitals due to the lack of proper services.

Tejashwi urged PM Modi to come and see the reality of the healthcare system in Bihar. He expressed concerns that Modi might only talk about achievements without addressing the serious flaws that have existed for years. This visit could be a chance for the Prime Minister to understand the real issues faced by the people in the state.
