Temperature Fluctuations in Bihar
Recently, there has been a significant fluctuation in temperatures in Bihar, particularly in Patna. On December 21, the minimum temperature in Bihar dropped to 5.5°C, but within just 3 days, it rose back up to 10.4°C. In places like Muzaffarpur, the minimum temperature reached 15°C. This increase in temperature during December, a month typically associated with cold weather, has left people feeling perplexed. However, there is no expected change in temperature for the next 5 days.
Foggy Forecast for the Next 2 Days
According to Dr. Ashish Kumar, a senior scientist at the Patna Meteorological Centre, there is a forecast of medium-level fog during the mornings in most parts of the state for the next 2 days. The presence of cyclonic winds in western Bangladesh and surrounding areas, located 1.5 km above sea level, will result in dry weather conditions in the state for the next 24 hours. On Monday, Bihar’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 24 to 28 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is predicted to be between 12° to 14°C. Light to medium fog was observed in places like Patna and Purnia in the morning, with sunny weather expected during the day.

There has been a recent increase in temperatures in Bihar, with Darbhanga recording the highest maximum temperature of 30.8°C and Gaya experiencing the lowest minimum temperature of 10.4°C. The average maximum temperature in Bihar is 26.2°C, while the average minimum temperature is 12.7°C. Dense fog was observed in the morning in Purnia and Patna, while light fog was reported in other areas.
