Robbery in Bhimpur Thana area
In the Ramjanaki Chowk area of Bhimpur Thana, thieves have stolen from four different shops, resulting in the theft of goods worth lakhs of rupees. This incident has angered the shopkeepers, who blocked State Highway 91 near Ramjanaki Chowk, protesting against the police administration and demanding better security arrangements. The protest caused a traffic jam for about 2 hours, but the situation was calmed down after assurances from the Thana in-charge.
Theft in Electronic, Mobile, Clothing, and Fan shops
Unknown thieves targeted an electronic shop, a mobile shop, a clothing store, and a fan shop near Ramji Chowk in the Bhimpur Thana area, stealing goods worth lakhs of rupees, including a motorcycle. Shopkeepers reported losses ranging from ₹10,000 to over ₹2 lakhs. The incident has been reported to the police in writing.
Protest on State Highway 91
Infuriated shopkeepers blocked State Highway 91 to protest against the rising incidents of theft, demanding action from the police administration to prevent such crimes. The 2-hour jam on State Highway 91 disrupted traffic and public movement. The Thana in-charge, Mithilesh Kumar Pandey, intervened and assured the business owners after discussions with local representatives, addressing their demands for increased security measures.
Assurance of Action by Thana In-charge
After assuring the residents and business owners of action in the case, Thana in-charge Mithilesh Kumar Pandey stated that steps are being taken based on the applications received. The demand for appointing a security guard in the market area was addressed, calming down the angry residents. The situation was brought under control with the assurance of prompt action by the police authorities.
सुपौल के भीमपुर थाना इलाके में रामजानकी चौक पर अवस्थित चार अलग अलग दुकानों में चोरों ने चोरी की है। चोरी की घटना से आक्रोशित दुकानदारों ने रामजानकी चौक के समीप स्टेट हाईवे 91 को जाम कर.दुकानदारों ने पुलिस प्रशासन के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। साथ ही सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बहाल करने की मांग की। करीब 2 घंटे तक सड़क जाम कर हंगामा किया। चोरों ने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक, मोबाइल, कपड़े और पंखे की दुकानों से लाखों रुपए के सामान चुराया। थानाध्यक्ष ने आश्वासन दिया कि कार्रवाई की जा रही है।
