Kal Ka Mausam: Heavy Rainfall Alert in Bihar
The active monsoon in Bihar has led to heavy rainfall across the state. The weather department has issued a warning of heavy rain in all districts of northern and southern regions on Wednesday, expecting it to remain active for the next three days. This has caused small to large rivers in Bihar to be in spate again, with people in flood-affected areas already on high alert. According to meteorologists, there are chances of good rainfall in Bihar this week.
More Rain Expected in the Coming Days
In the next 48 hours, there are chances of heavy rainfall across the state. On Tuesday, there was heavy rain in western Bihar and Seemanchal, while there is a possibility of heavy rain in districts of southern Bihar on Wednesday. Due to the weak monsoon last month, Bihar saw a decrease of up to 50% in rainfall. There were concerns about drought. However, with the monsoon becoming active again, farmers and the general public are happy.
Alert for Rain in Half a Dozen Districts
The weather department has issued a warning of heavy rain in about half a dozen districts, including Chhapra and Vaishali, on Wednesday. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in some areas from Patna to Bettiah and Kishanganj to Bhagalpur. Except for one or two districts in northern Bihar, the state is at risk of thunderstorms, with a yellow alert issued to stay cautious. There are chances of heavy rainfall in the state in the next 48 hours.
Possible Showers in Some Districts
According to the weather department’s forecast, there are chances of heavy rainfall in some areas of Chhapra, Siwan, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Bhojpur, and Kishanganj districts on Wednesday. There will be scattered showers in other districts as well. The Patna weather center has issued warnings of heavy rain and thunderstorms with strong winds in districts like Bettiah, Motihari, Gaya, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Patna, Shivhar, Samastipur, and others.
