IIT Admissions
Admission to IIT colleges requires candidates to have passed 12th grade with Math, Chemistry, and Physics and qualify the JEE Mains exam. Those successful in JEE Mains then need to take the JEE Advanced exam for admission to IIT colleges. There are a total of 23 IIT colleges in the country with approximately 17385 seats. The qualifying cut-off for general category admissions in IIT colleges is between 93.2 to 100 percentile.
IIT Bombay
In IIT Bombay this year, a student received a package of around 3.6 crores during campus placement, translating to a monthly salary of about 30 lakhs. The placement saw participation from several renowned companies. Similarly, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati also had impressive placements with students receiving packages of around 2.68 crores and 2.40 crores respectively.
IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi also witnessed good placements this year, with a student receiving a package of 1.9 crores. Companies like Texas, Qualcomm, and Microsoft are known to recruit from IIT Delhi. IIT Roorkee also had successful placements this year, with one student receiving a package of 2.05 crores, indicating a monthly salary of around 1.70 lakhs.
