The bike’s wheel got stuck in a pothole due to the high speed, causing the rider, a 60-year-old lawyer named Vakeel Prasad, to fall directly onto the burning pyre under the bridge. With no one around, half of his body was charred. Despite efforts from onlookers, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The passenger, his nephew Shivam, was also seriously injured and has been referred to Gorakhpur for further treatment.
