Last night, a tragic road accident took place in the Mohania area of Kaimur district, Bihar. A tempo and a truck collided on the NH-319 near Mama Devgaon. The impact was so strong that the tempo was completely wrecked, leading to immediate chaos in the area.
In this unfortunate incident, a woman named Devanti Devi, aged 39, died on the spot. Eight other people suffered serious injuries and were quickly rushed to Mohania Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. The injured included both men and women, with ages ranging from 16 to 40 years.
The group involved in the accident were residents of Mama Dev village who had attended a wedding at Radhe Krishna Marriage Hall in Mohania. This terrible accident happened when they were returning home late at night, and the tempo flipped over due to the collision, trapping the passengers inside.
Local residents heard the screams from the accident site and rushed to help. They managed to pull the injured out of the damaged tempo. Following the incident, angry villagers blocked the highway, causing traffic to halt. Police arrived to control the situation and took action against the truck driver.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. The deceased’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and there is a somber atmosphere in Mama Dev village as they mourn the loss. What started as a wedding celebration turned into a tragic event.
