What’s inside:

This article talks about a tragic incident in Gaya where a family suffered due to smoke inhalation from a borsi used for warmth.

In Gaya’s Dakhingaon area, a heartbreaking incident occurred when a family tried to stay warm by lighting a borsi in a closed room. This happened late on Saturday night, and it led to the death of a four-month-old girl and her grandmother, while the girl’s mother is in critical condition.

The family was sleeping in a room when they lit the borsi, which is a traditional fire used for heating. They thought it would keep them warm during the extreme cold. Unfortunately, nobody realized that the smoke from the borsi would fill the room and create a dangerous situation.

As the night went on, the smoke filled the closed room, and the lack of fresh air became a problem. All three family members were in deep sleep and didn’t notice the suffocation. When relatives found the room locked in the morning, they became worried and opened the door, only to find them unconscious.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital, but the doctors couldn’t save the baby girl and her grandmother. The mother was in serious condition but was stabilized after treatment. This tragic event has left the entire community in shock and mourning.

Local leaders have visited the family to offer their condolences, and a BJP leader has called for compensation for the victims’ family. The administration is looking into the incident to see if it qualifies for disaster relief assistance.
