Increasing Cases of AES in Muzaffarpur
With the rise in temperatures, Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) has once again gained momentum. Confirmation of AES in a one and a half-year-old child in Muzaffarpur district has increased the total number of cases to 24 at SKMCH. However, all children have recovered and there have been no deaths due to AES this year so far. The health department is on high alert.
Half of the 24 Cases from Muzaffarpur
Out of the total 24 cases this year, half are from Muzaffarpur. Several districts in North Bihar are facing the deadly disease AES. After confirmation of 4 new cases in the last 5 days, the health department is on alert. Hospital staff have reported a total of 24 cases, with approximately 12 cases from various blocks of Muzaffarpur and the remaining 12 from Motihari, Shivhar, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, and Gopalganj districts. The latest case is from Motihari district, where a one and a half-year-old child was confirmed with AES. The child was discharged after recovery in the evening. The confirmation of this case has been provided by Nodal Officer Dr. Satish Kumar. Currently, there are 4 cases in Motihari alone.
Preventive Measures and Awareness Campaigns
In order to prevent further spread of AES, the health department is taking preventive measures and conducting awareness campaigns in the affected districts. Due to the high alert status, hospitals are equipped to handle any new cases effectively. The focus is on early detection and prompt treatment to ensure the recovery of affected children. Parents are also being advised to take necessary precautions during the summer season to protect their children from AES.

गर्मी और उमस बढ़ने के साथ मोतिहारी जिले में एक ढाई साल के बच्चे में AES की पुष्टि हो गई है, जिसके बाद SKMCH में कुल 24 केस हो गए हैं। अब तक किसी भी बच्चे की मौत नहीं हुई है, लेकिन स्वास्थ्य विभाग अलर्ट पर है। मुजफ्फरपुर के विभिन्न प्रखंडों सहित उत्तर बिहार के कई जिलों में बच्चों की AES की चपेट में है। अब तक 24 केस सामने आए हैं, जिसमें मोतिहारी में 4 केस हैं। चिकित्सकों का कहना है कि बच्चे ठीक होने के बाद उन्हें डिस्चार्ज कर दिया गया है। अब मोतिहारी में 4 केस अकेले हैं।
