Assault on Security Guard Ends in Fatal Shooting
In Madhepura, the case of the triple murder that occurred in Sakarpura was still fresh when another incident took place. Criminals targeted a security guard on duty in Murliganj, shooting him and challenging the Madhepura police. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when the guard, Juber Khan, was stationed near Hat Bazaar in Benga Pul. Around 3 am on Wednesday, armed criminals on bikes attempted to rob the guard.
Criminals Shoot Guard for Resisting Robbery
When the guard resisted the robbery, the criminals shot him and fled with the stolen bike. Other guards at the scene immediately rushed Juber Khan to the Murliganj Community Health Center, where he received primary treatment before being referred to the Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College in Madhepura for further treatment.
Guard Injured in Leg
Juber Khan sustained a gunshot wound in his leg but is currently out of danger. He is undergoing treatment for his injuries. Following the incident, other guards expressed their anger towards their superiors. They criticized the lack of response from their officers, as no one arrived to investigate the matter until 8 am the next morning. Even the police officers on duty at the Murliganj police station did not visit the injured guard. The family of the guard is demanding a thorough investigation and the arrest of the culprits.
