Truck collides with car in Dhanbad, Jharkhand

In Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, a truck collided with a car resulting in the death of four friends who were in the car, while one person was seriously injured. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday in Loharbarwa, about 190 kilometers away from the state capital Ranchi.

Bodies sent for postmortem

The Deputy Superintendent of Police of Govindpur Range, Shankar Kanti, mentioned that the bodies of the four deceased have been sent for postmortem, while the injured person has been admitted to Dhanbad’s Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital. He stated that all five friends were traveling in a car on National Highway-2 when the car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. After the incident, the truck driver fled with the vehicle.

Investigation underway

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident and to locate the absconding truck driver. The authorities are also looking into whether any negligence or recklessness led to the tragic collision. The friends were on a trip when the accident occurred, leading to a devastating outcome for the group.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with condolences pouring in for the families of the deceased. The local authorities are working to provide support to the families of the victims and ensure that necessary actions are taken to prevent such accidents in the future.
