Queen Vidhyavati Devi passes away in Tundi, Dhanbad
Queen Vidhyavati Devi, the Rajmata of Tundi in Dhanbad district, has passed away at the age of 72. She was the wife of the late king Ravaneshwar Prasad Singh. The queen had three daughters ★Kavita, Savita, and Reena, all of whom are married. After the queen’s demise, the era of the royal family has come to an end as there are no male heirs.
History of Tundi Raj dating back over 400 years
The Tundi kingdom had its roots in Sarwan (Deoghar). The establishment of the Tundi Raj dates back over 400 years and is intertwined with the history of Ayodhya. The natural beauty of Tundi and the flowing Barakar River captivated the royal princes, leading to the founding of the kingdom by Jyeshth Deep Pal Singh.
Return of the Kashi Maharaja and the establishment of new kingdoms
Upon learning of the events in Tundi, the Kashi Maharaja was forced to return. One brother became a sage, while the other established a kingdom in Mayurbhanj, Odisha. The current Tundi block is near Mohanad (Maharajganj), where Raja Deep Pal Singh’s son, Indrajit Singh, built his fort.
Raja Lakshminarayan Singh becomes the most valiant king of the Tundi dynasty
Raja Lakshminarayan Singh, the most valiant king of the dynasty, built his fortress in Tundi. His son, Ranvijay Narayan Singh, was honored with the title of Tikait. The last king of the dynasty was Ravaneshwar Prasad Singh, born in 1942 and passing away in 2002 in Tundi. The demise of Queen Vidhyavati Devi has been mourned by Tundi MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato, expressing his grief at her passing.
धनबाद जिले के टुंडी की राजमाता विद्यावती देवी का निधन हो गया। वह टुंडी के अंतिम राजा रावणेश्वर प्रसाद सिंह की पत्नी थीं। उन्हें तीन पुत्रियां थीं, जिनमें से तीनों का विवाह हो चुका था। टुंडी का साम्राज्य 400 वर्ष से भी अधिक पुराना था और इसकी स्थापना की कहानी अयोध्या राज से जुड़ी हुई थी। राजमाता के निधन पर शोक जताया गया है।
